NETA 65 Website Statement of Purpose

The purpose of our website is to Preserve the Spirit of Alcoholics Anonymous by;
Facilitating the Alcoholics Anonymous groups of NETA Area 65 to carry the message of Alcoholics Anonymous to the still-suffering alcoholic.

To facilitate communication among General Service Representatives (GSRs), District Committee Members (DCMs), Standing Committee Officers, and Area Officers

To improve an understanding of the workings of NETA Area 65 in order to encourage participation in service work.

Our primary purpose is to stay sober, and to help others recover from alcoholism. The NETA Area 65 website is simply another tool to enable us to accomplish our primary purpose. It is our overall goal to help the still-suffering alcoholic establish direct, face-to-face contact with Alcoholics Anonymous.

NETA 65 Website Mission Statement

Alcoholics Anonymous is a worldwide fellowship of more than 2,000,000 alcoholic men and women who are banded together to resolve their common problems and to help fellow sufferers recover from that age-old, baffling malady, alcoholism. A.A.’s Twelve Steps are a group of principles, spiritual in their nature, which, if practiced as a way of life, can expel the obsession to drink, and enable the sufferer to become happily and usefully whole (From: TWELVE STEPS and TWELVE TRADITIONS.)
